I bought one of those electric fireplaces for my home recently.
And when I got it home and put it up, the thing did not work. There was some kind of factory defect going on or something. I ended up having to disassemble everything after all the hard work putting the electric fireplace together, put it all back into the huge box that it came in, then haul it out to my truck, load it on and then take it back to the store in which I bought it from to get a total one hundred and ten percent refund on the electric fireplace. I was pretty surprised that I did not have to argue with them in order to get them to take back the electric fireplace and know it was broken. They offered me a replacement electric fireplace of the exact same brand and model. However I turned it down because I did not want to take the risk that all of the electric fireplaces of that brand and model would be the same exact way because of some factory defective run of them. So what I did was take the refund and went to another store to buy a totally different brand and model of electric fireplace. Well, the second time was a charm and it worked great! And now I have a fully working and very high quality electric fireplace for my home that actually works very nicely with no problems. I am so glad I finally found and got the electric fireplace that was right for me and my home!
