I have long been obsessed with owning cherry wood furniture even though it’s not the number one furniture in this current era.
In fact, my friend Ed has a current home, and knows that my cherry wood furniture is a bit dated.
Ed even said my furniture reminds him of the furniture in his Grandmother’s house. While this might be the popular opinion, I still enjoy the classic style plus feel of cherry wood furniture, then plus, the finish comes in so many fun and unusual colors so there are lots of variety to choose from. Moreover, I know that cherry wood furnishings can be paired with other pieces to create a current or contemporary look. Personally, I enjoy taking risks when it comes to decorating my home, plus it drives me bonkers seeing every apartment with the same style furniture. It lacks any creativity plus it tells me that everyone went to the same furniture store in the city that Ed and I live in. I like certain accents, plus I like antique pieces as well. And if I could find something that is both a lovely antique as well as certain , I have hit the jackpot. This is why I prefer going to shops and estate sales because I can certainly find some fantastic pieces there. And yup, most of the furniture at an estate sale is old, but respectfully they are in decent condition. It beats getting the cookie cutter furniture from the local furniture store in this town. Anyway, although my friend Ed may not like my taste in furnishings, I won’t change my mind about liking cherry wood furniture. Because unlike Ed, I don’t know it’s dated at all.
