It had been quite a year at university, & I was glad to be working on my thesis.
I was also happy about it.
The paper was on ways to help with indoor comfort with regard to HVAC systems, but since it is an educational thesis, I decided to base it on a subject I was interested in, the HVAC units. First, I needed to know the weird types of heating & cooling systems & the cooling technology integrated into these systems over the years. I started by talking to industry experts, including HVAC companys who had worked in the industry for years & inspected much cooling equipment, numerous HVAC brands in the market have slowly become home names. I needed to investigate their rise to the top & what they were doing to ensure that old & new temperature control systems helped their clients improve their lives. I found out how learning & training institutions kept changing their curriculum to incorporate the changes in the process involved in HVAC upgrade, quality AC service, & maintenance. One of the cooling specialists said that weird types of systems operate differently. I still needed to get to half of my paper. I was entirely happy about all I was learning about these systems, especially the electric heat pump & accessories like the thermostat. I also visited the local service provider to understand what clients want, but at the end of the thesis, I spoke to several cooling specialists & saw every HVAC company I knew that I almost knew by name. I have given a lot to my paper, & I hope the mentors feel the same way. I also made friends in the cooling corporation.
