I had a sprinkler system in my front yard, but I had no idea that it had accidentally turned on the wrong way and flooded my HVAC system with water.
It got cooked through and through! The sprinkler getting inside is how it all happened, which is a precious possibility. To fix the damage done to my central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning unit, I had to call the neighborhood heating and air conditioning company. They sent out a certified heating and cooling specialist. In the end, the cost of service was much higher than I had anticipated for a central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning repair! The central heating and cooling systems had to be replaced because they were literally fried, along with motherboards and other components. The reason it costs so much is because even in the heaviest rainstorms, water does not enter the central heating, ventilation, or air conditioning system. This is an undeniably valuable case. Due to a sprinkler system malfunction and accident, it simply sprayed directly into the area where it was struck. Now that I’ve decided to do it, I’m going to the store to buy a tarp for my HVAC and A/C systems in case this sort of thing happens again. This would not have occurred in the first place if I had a tarp covering the central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, as it would have been shielded. Lesson learned, I now understand the importance of protecting my central heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with a tarp to prevent any future mishaps like the one caused by the sprinkler system.
