The fact that portable air conditioners these days tend to be a bit on the extravagant side of things is one aspect of them that I do not like.

I wish they were more like the portable space boilers of today. Because I want portable air conditioners in every single room of my house in an effort to reduce the amount of energy I use. The aim is to completely replace my need for central air conditioning with portable units. However, the way things stand now with the price they are, this would set me back a small fortune. However, I will only need to bring one portable air conditioner with me wherever I go. I could still save money in this manner. However, I must admit that, aside from the cost, my portable air conditioner is all I really care about and enjoy. No matter what or how large the room is, it can completely cool things off very quickly. It is similar to having a portable window air conditioner! That is how potent everything is when taken together. I’m hoping that eventually the cost of these portable air conditioners will decrease because I believe that everyone should own more than one. However, it’s also possible that the major energy corporations are putting pressure on them to raise their prices to a point where people cannot afford to buy more than one. Regardless of the reasons behind the current high prices of portable air conditioners, I remain optimistic that with time, market forces and technological advancements will drive down their costs, enabling widespread adoption and multiple units in every household.
