So it appears that my renovations to our little site at the lake has been a giant hit with my family. For sure, the site was beyond rustic since my friend and I bought years ago. But it was absolutely owned by my uncle and she sold it to me for a really sweet price. This was a site that I once spent Summers swimming and just being a kid. The condo itself had toilets and running water however no heating and cooling other than a little wood stove. That little wood stove can put out some serious heating for that little site in the Winter, periodically, I like to go up to the lake alone in the winter just to sort of get a measure of quiet. And on one trip this past year, I realized that it was time to put some effort into making the site a bit more charming to the rest of my immediate and extended family. For sure, there were upgrades to do. I started by asking my buddy, who is an Heating and A/C supplier, if he’d help me put in a pair of ductless heat pumps in the lake house. I promised him a quiet and fun weekend with all the beers and steaks on me… My pal and I absolutely were able to make quick labor of installing the ductless heat pumps. I was amazed by the amount of heating they put out that weekend. And now, I’m really enjoying the cooling comfort from the a/c. Over the rest of the Springtime, I put in wi-fi plus painted and replaced all the furnishings; Now, I don’t have to ask twice if the kids and my partner want to make it a lake condo weekend.
