Our grandson saw a snake in the A/C unit.

My grandson has a healthy fear of snakes.

  • He isn’t afraid of them, however he knows not to play with them, plus keep his distance.

He also knows the difference between poisonous plus non-poisonous, however he won’t get close enough to check. He constantly calls his Grandfather to remove the snake plus take it far away from the house. He was also playing in the pool out back, when I heard him running into the house. He told me there was a snake in the cooling system. I asked if he was sure it was a snake plus not a small branch. He said he saw the snake go into the air conditioning unit. I called my hubby and then told him about the snake in the air conditioning unit. He got his tongs plus went outside. He looked in the A/C device air slots, but it was too dark to see. Even with his flashlight, he couldn’t see much. He carefully detached the front cover. After shining his flashlight around, he suddenly closed the cover again. He got our grandson inside, plus told me not to let him out. He called a friend who was an exterminator. He told me he saw at least eight pairs of eyes in the air conditioning unit. When his friend actually showed up, it took him almost two hours to chase down all the snakes. There were many eggs inside, which he destroyed, however he said the snakes would go to someone he knew. As long as the snakes weren’t in the cooling system, I didn’t care what he did with them.
