Wendy is so happy because earlier this year, she purchased a ceiling fan and now she is using it.
She bought the fan after her coworkers mentioned how they use ceiling fans to help to lower energy costs in their homes. And since Wendy lives alone, a ceiling fan would be useful in her bedroom, especially at night. Prior to ordering the fan, Wendy did some research online and discovered that a ceiling fan when used with an HVAC device can conserve energy. Based on her findings, she can increase the temperature on her thermostat by up to 4 or 5 degrees without losing any comfort. Normally, Wendy would sleep with her thermostat set at 70 degrees, but with the ceiling fan, she is now sleeping with the thermostat at 77 degrees. And she can confirm that she has not had an issue so far. In fact, since installing the fan, Wendy is sleeping a lot better than she did before. Perhaps it has something to do with the white noise from the fan. The best part about the ceiling fan is that it can also be useful during the winter time months. Reversing the direction of the blades can help to push hot air down and better circulate the heat throughout the room. So while in the Winter, Wendy can set my thermostat lower and use the fan to help with regulating the hot air. Some people have said that a ceiling fan has saved them money on their energy bill, even though she can’t confirm that right now. What she can confirm though is that she did increase the temperature on her thermostat, and is sleeping like a baby. That’s enough of a win for her.
