My child is ten years outdated & has decided she wants to play soccer next summer.
- It is currently mid December & the flyer she brought house from school advertised a week long soccer camp to help athletes be ready for the upcoming season.
She is undoubtedly excited & can’t wait to go. The camp is being held at a local location & because it is indoors, I had no worries about the current weather. Most of us had over a foot of snow packed in our yards & our daily average temperatures were in the 30’s. One the first day of camp, my associate and I packed her lunch, component & shorts to change into once she arrived. She wore her winter season gear on the way because it was so cold. I dropped him off outside & told him I would choice him up at 3:00. I was only back house an hour when her coach called to say there was a problem. My first thought was an injury or something. Turns out, the location was experiencing a concern with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system & I needed to choice my child up. The entire location was down to 60 degrees by the time I got there which wouldn’t have been terrible if they kids were wearing sweatpants & sweatshirts. Shorts & t-shirts were not so good. I spoke with the coach before leaving & she said that management was working on the problem. They hoped to have it fixed by the following day so she said to plan on camp at the normal time. My child was disappointed that her first day was break short however grateful that she didn’t have to spend the whole day shivering in the cold location.
