When you live in the southern part of the country you tend to be prepared for harsh storms more than others, but my associate and I consistently have a supply of freshwater in the basement & plenty of batteries on hand for flashlights… This past Summer has been worse than most & my fantastic friend and I have had various power outages that have lasted for afternoons.
My dad finally gave in & contacted our local HVAC company about installing a whole loft generator for just such occasions. They have been advertising for quite a while about odd specials that they are running & she finally decided to take fortune of one of them. My associate and I have a portable generator that must be run out in the yard & have to consistently added to it, but with the installation of a whole loft generator, my fantastic friend and I will no longer need to do that or distraught about the carbon monoxide poisoning it comes from a portable one. The current generator will run on natural gas & will not be reliant on electricity to operate it, however with respected ventilation this is the best thing that my fantastic friend and I can do to prevent the spoilage of food or lack of HVAC system while in these times. When the power goes out my fantastic friend and I lose the ability to heat or cooler home depending on the time of year & that can be detrimental as well. During the Summer is simply means that you will be uncomfortably hot but if it is winter time time, the lack of heat in your home can cause complications both with the loft itself & your health.
