People rely heavily on the internet when looking for goods and services
Being online almost constantly, I beginning to wonder about somethings. It seems that there are particular companies that pop up in ads along the side of most pages that I search. I wonder why that is occasionally. Take car ads for instance, I alway see advertisements from the same dealerships even though there are at least ten pressing ones in town. I have never bought a car from these sites so I don’t know why they are targeting me on my computer. I wanted to understand this process better so I started reading about web design and online presence when it came to advertising. I learned about a process called Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, that makes all the difference in how often, and by whom, your advertisements are seen, and this process targets particular demographics that may be interested in your goods and services. Companies pay fees to corporations to make sure that their information is seen by the right groups of people. The more that information is seen and submitted to numerous search engines, the more likely you are to see it over and over again. This would also explain why I am seeing the greater companies in the ads, they can afford to pay for these services more than the little woman with a small dealership on the corner. The SEO process is entirely pressing in a marketing strategy for any business that wants to be successful. People rely heavily on the internet when looking for goods and services. Even though I get miserable at seeing the same ads over and over, at least I understand the process better and don’t wonder if someone is seeing my every move anymore.
