If you live in sunny California or Florida you likely enjoy Halloween.
This is due to the fact that you can decorate and dress up as much as you want.
I can honestly say that it is my least favorite holiday. I grew up in the Northeast and all I can remember about Trick or Treating is walking down a freezing cold road and trying not to fall while wearing several layers of clothing under my costume. I never got to wear the cute costumes like I saw in the advertisements and I could barely feel my feet by the time I made it back home. Often it was cold, rainy, and even snowing which made it even more treacherous. The only thing I looked forward to on Halloween was getting back home where my mom would have a big pot of hot cocoa on the stove and the heat would be blasting to thaw us out. I would peel off my layers and actually sit on top of the floor vent drinking my cocoa. Like any kid I had fun looking through my loot I had taken in but since we weren’t allowed to eat it until it was inspected I didn’t even really care about that. I just wanted to be warm and dry again. As Halloween approaches I do as much as I can to avoid anything to do with it. I make sure to head out to the movies and leave my house dark so that everyone knows that I am not participating in the holiday at all.
