Flexible Ductwork

This past week has been pretty hectic.

From making deadlines, to midterm tests to research papers, I can say that it’s been one of the busiest weeks of the year.

To make all of these deadlines I was staying up to at least 2 AM to get everything completed. I was up that late Monday through Friday. I was definitely looking forward to sleeping in Saturday morning. I have always felt like if I stay up late multiple times in a row, my body will not be in my favor and my immune system will shut down. Then I’ll start getting cold symptoms. This has happened to me plenty of times and I was trying to prevent getting these symptoms again by having the opportunity to sleep in. Unfortunately my sleeping in until 10:30 AM was cut short by the sound of ladders and clacking. I opened my apartment door to the hallway of the apartment lobby and I saw contractors. They were on ladder taking the ceiling tile off. It looked like they were HVAC technicians working on the ductwork system. Since I was already awake, I got ready for the day and decided to go get coffee. When I was walking past the HVAC technicians I saw the ductwork system. It was flexible ductwork since it had to maneuver throughout the hallway to other apartment rooms. I’ve heard that flexible ductwork should be inspected and pulled tight to reduce inner air resistance. It’s a good type of ductwork and very versatile.
