A home gym

One of the things I’ve always struggled with is consistently getting enough exercise.

I enjoy exercising and moving my body a lot, but I have trouble getting the high intensity workouts that are necessary to keep your body fit and strong.

I prefer the slow, calming workouts that come with hiking and doing yoga. It’s a lot more difficult for me to find the motivation to get extremely sweaty, red face, and out of breath. I don’t love the feeling of my heart pounding out of my chest. I don’t enjoy wondering if I’m about to vomit everywhere. It only makes matters worse when you have to attend a crappy local gym. For most of my adulthood, I’ve had an extremely cheap gym membership. Frankly, I have visited extremely hot and uncomfortable gyms. Without adequate air conditioning and air purification systems, for all these years I haven’t enjoyed my workouts, whatsoever. That’s why I decided to create my own home gym, and hopefully reduce the amount of effort that it takes to comfortably work out. I figured, if I could install and control my own cooling system and air quality settings, it would probably improve my desire to work out. I started by acquiring a brand new air conditioning window units, which I quickly positioned in the small workout room. Then I purchased a dehumidifier, to assist with removing air-born moisture. Lastly, I bought a massive industrial fan for incredible ventilation power. These days, it feels like I’m working out in an ice-cold hurricane, and I’m actually enjoying my high intensity exercise.
