So it appears that my renovations to our little place at the lake has been a crucial hit with my family. For sure, the place was beyond rustic since my pal and I bought years ago. But it was honestly owned by my aunt and he sold it to me for a honestly sweet price. This was a place that I once spent Summers swimming and just being a kid. The property itself had toilets and running water however no heating and cooling other than a little wood stove. That little wood stove can put out some drastic heating for that little place in the Winter. Sometimes, I like to go up to the lake alone in the winter season just to sort of get a measure of quiet. And on one trip this past year, I realized that it was time to put some effort into making the place a bit more appealing to the rest of my immediate and extended family. For sure, there were updates to do. I started by asking my buddy, who is an HVAC contractor, if he’d help me put in a pair of ductless heat pumps in the lake house. I promised him a quiet and fun weekend with all the beers and steaks on me! My associate and I honestly were able to make quick work of installing the ductless heat pumps. I was amazed by the amount of heating they put out that weekend. And now, I’m entirely enjoying the cooling comfort from the a/c. Over the rest of the Springtime, I put in wi-fi as well as painted and updated all the furnishings, however now, I don’t have to ask twice if the kids and my husbandy want to make it a lake property weekend.
