My grandparents live in such a nice neighborhood in the southern part of the country. And most of the homes in their section have a formal residing room that is just for show. Some of my grandparents’ neighbors have even gotten interior designers to help redecorate these dining spaces. These rooms are normally off limits to kids plus only used to entertain guests. In fact, most people don’t use these formal rooms at all. I don’t know my folks use theirs either, I have never certainly sat inside that space for too long. It’s not comfy as the beautiful furniture as well as the accent pieces resemble something from a high end fashion magazine. I know that it’s fantastic for my parents to have this beautiful furniture in their apartment because it does make the room look very sophisticated, but something like this would not toil for my house. For one, I have little kids plus there is no way I would be able to keep them away from that room. Also, I like my apartment to feel like a cozy apartment plus when people come over, I prefer them to be as comfortable as possible in all the rooms in my home. A beautiful room doesn’t scream comfort, it’s a room where you have to be careful not to rip, scratch or spill something or damage any of the furniture. Of course, this is just my own opinion plus that classic elegance look can toil for many people with a more unusual lifestyle. Perhaps one day I too will change my perspective about owning beautiful furniture inside my home. Possibly when the little ones are grown plus have left the apartment for good.
