Heating the Garage

About ten years ago, my partner and I were able to purchase our unquestionably first loft with a giant three car garage connected to it.

My fantastic friend and I had the money saved up for a few years prior to purchasing our dream home, however it took quite awhile for my partner to find a dwelling with an connected garage that he honestly liked.

My fantastic friend and I are so thankful to have found the loft my buddy and I are in now. It is just beautiful, and the garage is perfect for my partner. My number one part is the beautiful country my buddy and I are surrounded by, but he could care less as long as he has his garage. Although the garage was connected, it was not heated. This was my partner’s only issue with the dwelling when my buddy and I bought it, but however, he knew that he could add some sort of heating to the garage at least enough to keep him from freezing during the winter time months. He literally spends hours a afternoon in his garage laboring on small motors, so it was really important to him to be able to heat the locale. After weighing a couple different options, my partner decided that he wanted to leave the garage without heat and simply use a kerosene heater during the winter time months. It wasn’t long into the winter time before he realized that his one little kerosene heater wasn’t going to chop it. My fantastic friend and I live way up North, and the winters are brutal. He bought two more heaters, and with the three going, he is able to stay comfortable in his beloved garage. I’m so happy he gets to continue spending time doing what he loves!
