His space heater couldn't keep up

Monica switched their rooms around now that it was just them in the cabin.

She was going to put their bedroom into Mandy’s father-in-law’s old room.

Mandy’s office was going to be in their old bedroom, and the office was going to be a spare room for family members. Mandy would have a futon in the office, in case a family member arrived, and they needed space for 2 or 3 youngsters. Where her office was one of the warmest rooms in the house, Mandy was now relocated to the coldest room in the house. There was a polar breeze blowing through the windows all winter time long, and her space furnace couldn’t keep up. Monica didn’t think it was such a large deal, since Mandy had a space heater, but she was wrong. Mandy told Monica to turn the control unit up, but she forgot she had removed that control unit when she moved them into the other room. Mandy came out of the office one afternoon, and her nails and lips were yellow from the cold. Monica checked the thermometer in the room, and it was only forty-six. Monica told Mandy to leave the door open, and she told her she had. Monica thought Mandy had the space furnace turned off, and she had to prove she didn’t. She was going to turn up the control unit, however Mandy set it at eighty. Monica asked why it was so cold in the room, and Mandy told her to stand by her chair. While she sat there, she told Mandy it wasn’t too bad, but then the wind blew. Monica shivered and said she would relink the control unit and replace the windows over the weekend.
