Being online almost consistently, I start to wonder about somethings.
- It seems that there are certain companies that pop up in ads along the side of most pages that I search.
I wonder why that is periodically. Take vehicle ads for instance, I alway see advertisements from the same dealerships even though there are at least ten big ones in town. I have never bought a vehicle from these places so I don’t know why they are targeting me on my PC. I wanted to understand this process better so I started reading about web design and online presence when it came to advertising… I learned about a process called Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, that makes all the difference in how often, and by whom, your advertisements are seen; This process targets particular demographics that may be interested in your goods and services. Companies spend my money fees to corporations to make sure that their information is seen by the right groups of people. The more that information is seen and submitted to several search engines, the more likely you are to see it over and over again. This would also explain why I am seeing the larger companies in the ads, they can afford to spend my money for these services more than the little guy with a small dealership on the corner. The SEO process is absolutely important in a marketing strategy for any business that wants to be successful. People rely heavily on the internet when looking for goods and services. Even though I get aggravated at seeing the same ads over and over, at least I understand the process better and don’t wonder if someone is enjoying my every move anymore.
