I wasn’t getting as much air conditioning coming through my air vents.
I couldn’t figure out what was going on, and all I could think was that my a/c was acting up.
I called the heating and A/C corporation and told them about the air conditioning unit. The very next afternoon, the heating and A/C worker was outside looking at the A/C unit! After half an hour, he told me he had checked everything, despite the fact that he found nothing wrong with the air conditioning unit. He asked if it was okay if he checked the HVAC duct. He was simply thinking there could be something wrong with the HVAC duct, and the A/C could be escaping before getting into the main house. When he finally got into the attic, he came right back out. He said there was nothing they could do to repair the HVAC duct, until my buddy and I got rid of the critters. I thought he was joking but from the look on his face, I knew he wasn’t. He also said he was within two inches of a snarling raccoon when he poked his head into the attic. He then knew the HVAC duct had to be repaired because of how cool it was when he opened the trap door. I now had to find someone that would remove a raccoon from my attic. What my buddy and I thought was one raccoon was a mama raccoon with five babies. It took a while to get them out, but then I needed to wipe up the venue before the heating and A/C worker came back. The attic odored so badly, I would not even go in there before it was professionally cleaned.
