Traveling the country is so much fun! Each year, my husband and I plan a two week family vacation.
Our family has such a fun time, and something that we always do is drive to wherever we are going.
We don’t like to fly because to us, the car ride is one of the most enjoyable parts of our family vacations. This past year, we traveled over 2,000 miles on our family vacation, and I have to admit it was a bit much. We own a really spacious minivan that we usually take on our vacations, but it was having some air conditioning issues, and the last thing that we wanted was to take a 2,000 mile trip without any air conditioning in the middle of July! We decided to rent a van and take it on the trip instead. The first van we tried didn’t have the greatest air conditioning either, so we told the company that we would like to look at another van. Thankfully, we were able to find a nice, spacious van with great AC. The drive was so nice. We took our time getting to our destination because we were just having so much fun traveling, and the van stayed nice and cool as we drove hundreds of miles a day. In the end, I am so thankful that we chose to rent a van with a good air conditioner instead of trying to take our minivan with an air conditioner that has a mind of its own. It made last year’s trip one of our favorites!
