Mary had to wait for the siding contractor at her house so she couldn’t come for the business meeting. Thankfully, we both stand in for one another if the other person is busy. Mary and I started a clothes resale business a few years ago, and it’s been going so well. We found this lady who wanted help with her grandmother’s massive closet full of clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry. We had the idea of picking out the best fits and putting them for sale on Facebook marketplace. It all started as a hobby or side hustle, but soon we had so many people requesting the same services. We both quit our jobs and have been growing the business for the past five years. This past week, we were meeting a new client, but Mary couldn’t make it since she was getting window replacement. A week before, she met with a window company to get help in her home. Mary wanted new windows because the old ones were letting in too much hot air in the height of summer. She had her AC on, but it wasn’t as effective because of poor insulation. So, she opted to consult with a window company for the best solution. They sent a window contractor to her home who did a thorough assessment. He suggested complete window replacement and Mary didn’t hesitate to get the job done. If she was dealing with poor insulation in summer, she couldn’t imagine how worse it would be during winter. The window company did an excellent job and now Mary is back to work as we visit our next client.
